Bo Nix Aims to Simplify His Game Amid Broncos’ Challenging Season

Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix is focusing on simplifying his game to overcome a challenging start to the season. Speaking after a practice on Tuesday, Nix expressed that overthinking on the field has been detrimental to his performance. ‘Making it simple, making things 1-2-3, and let’s play fast and let’s roll,’ he explained, indicating a need to get back to basics to improve his gameplay.

Despite recent struggles, Nix has shown resilience, leading the Broncos to three victories, including a fourth-quarter comeback against the Los Angeles Chargers. His performance this season has been inconsistent with more fumbles and fewer passing yards compared to his first two seasons. In response, Broncos coach Sean Payton has taken over playcalling duties from offensive coordinator Davis Webb, aiming to facilitate cleaner and simpler plays for Nix.

The Broncos, with a 3-2 record, face the Seattle Seahawks next. The Seahawks boast a strong defense, leading the NFL in takeaways and interceptions. Nix remains optimistic, focusing on making clear-headed plays and minimizing turnovers. He remains confident in his preparation, coaching, and the team’s game strategy. ‘I’m confident in my preparation. I’m confident in my coaching. I’m confident in the way we’re going to structure the game to call plays. I know it’s going to be there,’ he said confidently.
