Dre Greenlaw Ejected in October Game Against Seahawks

During a October matchup against the Seattle Seahawks, San Francisco 49ers linebacker Dre Greenlaw was ejected in the second quarter. The incident occurred when Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold scrambled and stepped out of bounds, followed by a late hit from Greenlaw. The situation escalated when Greenlaw head-butted Seahawks linebacker Ernest Jones IV, leading to his ejection.

San Francisco’s coach, Kyle Shanahan, commented on the ejection, acknowledging the need for smarter play in such heated moments. “You’re going to get baited big time, especially when you’re on their bench,” Shanahan noted, indicating Greenlaw should have handled the situation better.

Rookie Jaden Dugger replaced Greenlaw for the remainder of the game, contributing significantly to the team’s narrow 32-29 victory over Seattle with nine tackles and a sack. This ejection marks Greenlaw’s third in his career. He was previously ejected for similar incidents during games against the Los Angeles Chargers and the Philadelphia Eagles.
